2023 AIN Global Conference Schedule

Welcome Applied Improvisers! The 2023 AIN Global Conference will be held on Granville Island, in Vancouver, Canada from July 27th to 30th, 2023. The conference will feature keynotes, workshops, Open Spaces, networking, Live AINx Talks, and much more.

Learning Journeys, our pre-conference sessions, will be held on Wednesday, July 26th and Thursday, July 27th. 

Official Conference Start Time: 4pm on Thursday, July 27th

Official Conference End Time: 4pm on Sunday, July 30th

Special Event Details: 

Silent Disco (Street Flash Mob with Connected Headsets)

Join us for an unforgettable experience inspired by Improv Everywhere. We’ll create public scenes that are sometimes hilarious, sometimes moving, but always fascinating. Using connected headsets, we talk to you directly into your ears. No dance experience needed, just a playful heart. We will gather at Performance works at 8:50pm to leave at 9pm sharp.

Bursts of Brilliance

Bursts of brilliance is an opportunity for a few brave souls to take 2 minutes (yes, 2 minutes!) to offer a single tip or technique that anyone in the room should be able to use when they return home. This tip will be something the presenter has tested or used in their own practice and knows to be effective – no random theories! The process for sign up and selection will be explained in Vancouver.

If you believe you have something you can offer in two minutes or less, please be ready to sign up when the time comes.

You will be asked to provide your name, a one sentence introduction of yourself (no multiple commas to extend the length of the sentence, please!) and a catchy name for your tip, so you and it will be memorable!
